1. Operator, scope, and eligibility
NosLog is an unofficial NOSTALGIA records, rankings, and archive fan service unaffiliated with KONAMI. This policy covers the Korean, Japanese, and English routes of the NosLog website, account features, and user submissions.
Pending legal review
The operator uses the name "계롤(Anchovia)". Whether the legally required operator/controller information is complete remains subject to pre-release review.
- Operator
- 계롤(Anchovia)
- sodacandy77@naver.com
You must be at least 14 years old to create or use a NosLog account. Public information remains available without an account.
2. Personal information we process and why
Discord login
We receive your Discord user identifier, display name, and username to identify your account and provide login. We do not store your Discord password or access token.
Profile and game records
We use your nickname, NOSTALGIA player name, country or region, preferred arcade, profile visibility settings, play, judgement, rating, and sync records, and the pinned records you choose (up to three charts, each with a one-line note) to provide profile and record services.
Exams and feedback
We use exam-passing evidence images, review results and notes, feedback text, and attached images to review submissions and respond to inquiries.
Community activity
We use pattern ratings, tier votes, opinions, replies, likes, and reports to provide song information and run the community. Opinions and replies are public with the author's name; only like counts are public.
Information suggestions
We use the values you suggest for chart information (BPM, note count, length, release date), your sources (video or page links and notes), and the review result and any rejection reason to review suggestions and improve music information. Values an admin applies become public music information, and the suggestion and its source are recorded as that value's origin. Applied suggestions, resolved arcade reports and cabinet checks (once a day) are recorded as contribution points that set your contribution level.
Chart drafts and chart comments
We use the chart drafts you make (note layout and timing), their progress (draft, pending review, changes requested, published), and chart comments tied to a playback time to review charts and improve published charts. A draft you submit for review may be published by an admin as the public chart, and after that it may change through other contributions or admin edits. A published draft records you as its author and adds contribution points each time it is published; a comment on a public chart that gets resolved is also recorded as contribution points.
Achievements
We calculate which achievements you have reached, and the date NosLog confirmed each one, from the records you sync and your activity on the site (opinions, likes, pattern ratings and exams). We store them and show the achievements you choose (up to three) at the top of your profile. The achievement page shows only how many players reached each tier, never a list of who did.
Automatically generated information
Connection IP addresses, browser and device information, access times, requests, and error logs may be generated for service security, incident response, and operations.
Visit statistics
When you open a page, we create an identifier used only for that day from your connection IP and browser information to count daily visitors. We do not store the IP or browser information itself, and the identifier is deleted the next day. Only totals remain, such as daily visitors, views per page, views per hour, totals split by whether the visitor was signed in, and API call counts. This feature does not use cookies.
3. How we collect information
We collect information through Discord login, information users directly enter or upload, the BEMANI record sync feature, and logs automatically generated while using the service.
4. Public data and visibility
Your profile nickname, avatar, country, exam history, competitive metrics, ranks, records, and pinned records with their notes are public when the data exists. If you make your play scores private, your pinned records are hidden from others too.
Five groups — NOSTALGIA player name, Discord, preferred arcade, play count, and play activity — are controlled directly in Settings. Hidden items are not shown to visitors, but they are not deleted from your account.
Public avatars are stored in public storage and may appear on profiles, rankings, and generated share cards.
Your contribution level, points and counts by type are shown on your profile, and contribution levels 3 and above and the admin label appear next to your name in rankings, opinions and replies. For suggestions, only values an admin applies are published as music information. Your name, your sources and rejected suggestions are not made public, and your suggestion list is visible only to you.
Published contributed charts show the author's name and contribution level in the chart viewer, and chart comments on public charts are public with the name, contribution level, playback time and date. Chart drafts and comments on drafts are visible only to their author and admins.
Achievements appear on your public profile and on the achievement page. If your play scores are private, other people do not see your skill or collection achievements (they reveal the range of your records); challenge and community achievements stay visible. Achievement progress is shown only to you.
5. What we do not collect
- We do not store your Discord password or access token.
- We do not request Discord email, guild, or message scopes.
- We do not receive your BEMANI password or official-site session cookie.
- Local audio selected in the chart viewer/editor stays in your browser and is never uploaded.
- We do not request precise device location.
- We do not use third-party analytics tools or advertising or marketing tracking tools. Visit statistics are counted in-house only as daily totals that cannot identify individuals.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
- We do not collect payment-card information.
6. Retention and deletion
- Account, profile, play, and sync records: until account deletion or a deletion request
- Avatar: until it is replaced or deleted, or until account deletion
- Resolved feedback: all content and attached images are deleted six months after resolution
- Approved exam submissions: evidence images and review notes are deleted six months after review; passing history is retained until account deletion
- Rejected exam submissions: submission records and evidence images are deleted six months after review
- Opinions and replies: until the author deletes them or deletes their account. Translations are kept with the original and deleted when the original is edited or deleted
- Suggestions: until you delete your account. The suggestion records are then deleted; values already applied and their sources (links and notes) remain as source records no longer linked to you.
- Contribution points: until you delete your account. Point records remain even after the originals (suggestions, reports) are deleted under their retention periods.
- Chart drafts and draft comments: until account deletion (one draft per chart; reopening it after it is published starts again from the public chart at that time). They are deleted when you delete your account, and charts already published remain without the author credit.
- Chart comments: until the author deletes them (before they are resolved) or deletes their account. Comments hidden by an admin are not public and are deleted with the account.
- Achievements and your profile achievement showcase: until account deletion. A tier you have reached is not removed automatically, even if your records change later. However, when an admin re-evaluates achievements after changing their thresholds or retiring an achievement, retired achievements and tiers below the new thresholds are removed.
- Pinned records and notes: until you change or remove them, or delete your account. If a chosen chart is deleted, its pin is deleted with it.
- Visit statistics: daily identifiers are deleted the next day; totals (daily visitors, page views, views per hour, totals split by signed-in status, API calls) are deleted after 90 days
We delete personal information without undue delay when its retention period ends or its purpose has been fulfilled. When you delete your account, your account, records, and uploaded files are removed from active systems.
Pending legal review
Backup and provider retention windows will be reflected in final wording after pre-release verification. Until then we do not claim "immediate and permanent deletion everywhere."
7. Service providers and international transfers
Vercel
Vercel provides web hosting, server execution, and operational log processing. The server execution region is Singapore (sin1). Data is transmitted over the network when the service is used and processed for the duration of service provision.
Vercel Blob
Vercel Blob stores avatars and submission images. The storage region is Seoul, South Korea (icn1). Exam evidence and feedback images are kept in private storage.
Neon
Neon stores member and service data in a PostgreSQL database. The storage region is Singapore (sin1), and data is processed for the duration of service provision.
Google (Gemini API)
When you post or edit an opinion or reply, only its text is sent to Google to translate it into the other two languages, and the translations are stored for "See translation". We send no other information such as the author's name. Because we use Google's free tier, Google may use the submitted text and results to improve its services, and Google reviewers may see them. It may be processed on Google servers outside your country.
If you do not want your information transferred internationally, you may choose not to use Discord login or request account deletion. Login-based features will then be unavailable.
Pending legal review
Regions, subprocessors, and log retention will be reflected in final wording after release-environment verification.
8. External services
Discord
At login we exchange only basic identity (the identify scope) with Discord in the United States. Information processed by Discord is subject to its own policies.
KONAMI/BEMANI
Record sync is run by you on the official site; the official-site session is governed by KONAMI's terms and policies.
Kakao Maps
Opening an arcade map may transmit connection information to Kakao's map service.
X
Loading the official news widget on Home may let X process connection information. The widget is configured with Do Not Track.
Pending legal review
Whether nonessential third-party embeds require prior consent or notice will be settled by legal review.
9. Cookies and device storage
user_session_cookie
The essential login session cookie. It lasts up to 14 days; blocking it disables login features.
noslog-locale
The language preference cookie. It lasts up to 1 year; blocking it falls back to route and browser resolution.
Device-local storage
Theme, metronome volume, and Strict Performance settings are stored only in your browser and are not synced to your account. Clearing them restores defaults.
10. Your rights
Users or their legal representatives may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction of processing of personal information. You may update information or delete your account in Settings, or contact us at the email above.
11. Security measures
We limit access to necessary operators and apply encryption in transit, administrator authorization checks, private evidence storage, upload type and size validation, and session protection.
12. Changes and history
If this policy changes, we will announce the change through service notices before it takes effect. Minor translation or typo fixes update only the last-updated date; material changes are recorded as a new effective version.
